"It is a place like no other. Very cool concept and off grid but close to nearby town location. Few Icelandic attractions 30 minutes away. Waterfalls and DC3 wreckage. Very clean and well organized amenities. Nice showers, hot water, espresso-coffee machine to start the day with your favorite one. Igloos are fantastic, comfortable bed and fresh, crisp white bed linen. With the right weather seeing northern lights would be magical. Self checkin and checkout and very responsive, english speaking...

"Stayed here for the 2nd night during our Iceland trip on the way back to Reykjavik. The code for self-check in was sent the day before. We were in the exact same room again. The room was clean, the shower room worked well, the kitchen was spacious and equipped with two sets of everything (sinks, ovens, stoves, microwaves, fridges, etc). Spacious dining areas with plenty of tables and chairs. Our room was really warm (June) without even turning on the heater. We actually needed to keep the window...

"This hotel was fantastic. We loved it. Food was wonderful and they were very accommodating with our food allergies and vegetarianism. The owner is lovely too. Only complaint is that even with a fan the rooms are very warm, but that seems to be the case in all the hotels here. "

"This is a lovely guesthouse about 10 minutes off of the main road. This meant it was a quiet location, which was actually surrounded by farms and farm animals. It was a beautiful location! We had a small room with a private bath, but there was a shared bath across the hall that was clearly marked that it was only for two rooms to use. We spent some time in the evening chatting with other guests which was fun. We did not stay for breakfast, but it looked like a nice spread and the breakfast...

"This is the kind of place you want to stay at when you stay in Iceland. Cabin near a running lake, gorgeous views and Icelandic horses to pet. "Ármót Guesthouse was a perfect place for our first night in Iceland. There was 3 of us travelling and we each had our own room in the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed with a bonus view of the horse fields. The area was quiet and all instructions for entering the self check in cabin were clear. "They were very kind and accommodating since I had messed up my booking for the hotel. I needed to stay there on July 6th, but didn’t actually book it until July 7th. When we got there I realized my error. I was so worried about having to find another hotel, but they found a room for me and my family and we made do. They directed us to a nice place to eat and it all worked out well. We thank them for their help. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities. "
