"Anything this location lacks in luxury is made up for in the solitude and peacefulness of the property. The Private hot tub overlooking a horse and sheep pasture was a great addition. Visually isolated from the road and from all other nearby properties. About 10km outside of town gets you away from the other tourists. GPS did get us close, but the communications and directions provided by the host before our stay were clear and got us right to the property. This was our favorite stay in our 2...

"Great for 3 of us. Lots of room, big bathroom and full kitchen in a beautiful location. Close to town with great restaurants, gas, groceries, etc. Very quiet. "

"Stayed here for a night as a couple - absolutely LOVED it. Air in the bubble room was cool inside (despite it being sunny and warm outside). Linens were super high quality. No one else there; it was off-season (May). We only had four hours of darkness, but the trees provided shading and it was easy to get a great night sleep. "By far our favorite place we have ever stayed! The cottages are adorable and very clean. The horses were playful and friendly and the views were so great from our rooms. The staff went above and beyond for us. We had to leave early one morning and couldn’t make breakfast and the staff went out of their way and made us to go bags of breakfast! They made plenty and gave us extra snacks and a sweet note to enjoy our day! Top notch!"

"we stayed for 1 night in this beautiful property. it was so peaceful and serene. our room had a balcony and we were able to sit, watch the sun set, and take in the vastness of icelandic skies. there was self serve juice and hot cocoas available, which was very much appreciated after a long day of hiking and driving."

"We enjoyed our stay at Grimsborgor. They have hot tubs you can use in the evening. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was nice too. They have a bar, but it is part of the restaurant and you are served by staff when they are not delivering food to tables. This may change depending on the number of guest staying at the hotel."

"We had an absolutely awesome stay at Riverfront Lodge! The staff/owners went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, it’s in a beautiful and peaceful location with great views, and very convenient for those traveling the Ring Road. Definitely recommend!"
