"Lovely clean room, included fridge, ironing board, iron as well as the usual things you'd expect like tea/coffee facilities, desk, TV, toiletries, hair dryer. Comfy bed. I'd recommend to stay here but if you're a light sleeper you may need ear plugs as occasional traffic can be heard. Excellent breakfast choice, cooked breakfast made fresh to order. Would definitely stay here again "

"The building works currently taking place in the hotel destroyed the experience as was woken up in the early hours of the morning to banging and drilling. No advance warning was given to guests which I thought was incredibly frustrating."

"Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn...

"Every single thing about this hotel from start to finish was perfect. The staff members at the front desk and restaurant were so warm and helpful, the entire hotel feels like you’re stepping back in time in all the best ways, and the room was INCREDIBLE. "The high handed attitude about not servicing the room daily as they are a sustainability hotel. That shouldn’t mean dirty cups not removed and replaced with clean ones or empty refreshments tray. I did not expect to have to have any such conversation. My bed was not made, but I can live with it. Dirty crockery left outside rooms in the corridor. Staff were friendly and helpful but not necessarily properly trained."

Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes.
