It's a great location, close enough to New Orleans where it's a short drive but far enough to be away from the partying. The pool area was nice, they cleaned the pool right before we went to use it. "Beautiful hotel with a rich history.
The location was great. Within easy walking distance of restaurants and interesting shops.
Valet parking only, so be prepared to pay a daily parking fee if you’re driving there.
Onsite restaurant was very good. $95 per person for a 4 course meal, if you’d like that option. We don’t drink, but there’s a a really nice historical bar, onsite, if you’re interested.
The room was very nice, but on the smaller side since it’s an older historic hotel.

The staff is nice as can be and very helpful.
Our room (a junior suite) was quite spare and was on the second floor. The stairway is narrow and fairly steep with a low hand rail (that is all original and charming) but visitors who may have difficulty climbing stairs should ask if their room will be upstairs or downstairs. I thought ours was to be on the first floor but it was not.
