"A spectacular river view and nice room if you pay more. Lovely gardens for the heart of the city/Wharf. This hotel could be great if it improved a few basics. Check in was poor as they migrated to a new system. We waited 15 mins as the first in the queue with no offer of a complimentary drink. The rooms need kettles. "I have been using this Mercure hotel for around 13 years for work and non work stays in London. It’s in a good location to get to where I want to go.
The hotel has been improved over the years and the staff never fail to be helpful and polite. And in general I find it a good hotel to stay at.
A plus point for me are the refillable water bottles in your room.
However, there are some small touches that seem an insignificant, can be tad irritating when not done e.g. only one glass in a room...
