Immaculately clean, convenient and includes hot tub, fire pit, fully stocked kitchen, Fiber-Optic high-speed Wi-Fi/Internet (650-700 Mbps on avg.), gas grill, Cornhole, soft linens & plush robes & towels, and even sandals for guests to use to and from the the hot tub.
The space
OVERVIEW/HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PROPERTY

The Coeur d'Alene Cottage now has a brand-new AC Units both upstairs and downstairs, new outdoor patio, new 6 person hot tub, new fire pit, new BBQ with optional real hickory wood chip smoker built in, and new outdoor furniture. New cedar fence on south side of the patio (Added for additional privacy so guests can better enjoy the hot tub and patio) and new outdoor string lighting.

We are working our best to create a luxurious and private hot tub and patio area for our guests. The new patio is the perfect area for guests to relax, BBQ, and sit by the fire pit. The patio opens up to a large grass back yard. Enjoy everything from stargazing at night by the fire, to laying out in the sun during the day, to cooking your favorite meal on the BBQ, to playing cornhole with friends, to enjoying a quite evening in the hot tub. The options are endless.

The Coeur d'Alene Cottage truly is one of a kind. Of the very few short-term rentals that have hot tubs in Coeur d'Alene, most are larger homes, with small back yards. The Coeur d'Alene Cottage is a smaller home, with a large back yard, and includes all the outdoor amenities someone could want. Also, other homes with hot tubs that are in our price range are normally in less desirable locations. Anyone who is familiar with the area knows that certain areas of downtown are not very comfortable, while there is no question that the Sanders Beach neighborhood is the ideal place to stay while on vacation in CDA. The space inside the home is perfect for couples, small families, and small groups of friends. Why get a hotel room when at the Coeur d'Alene Cottage you can have all the best amenities, while at the same time being able to easily walk to the lake and to all the best downtown has to offer?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE LAYOUT OF THE PROPERTY

Just an FYI, my wife and I live next door to the property. We are here if you need us, otherwise you likely won’t see us. Our guest’s privacy is top priority, and we do everything in our power to give our guests as much privacy as possible. We honestly avoid even hanging out outside as much as possible when we have guests next door so that we do not impose on our guest’s privacy. The only exceptions to this are going to and from our vehicles or if we have to do some sort of maintenance work such as mowing the lawn or snow blowing the walkways. In either case, if we are going to be outside of either property doing some sort of work, that can’t be done after the current guests check out and before new guests check in, then we will notify the guests so that we are not surprising anyone with our presence.

To be as transparent as possible I would like to provide a little more detail about the patio, hot tub, and back yard area so there is no confusion. As previously mentioned, my wife and I live next door to the . The properties are on two separate lots. Because the houses are situated on two lots, the backyard for the houses is quite large. However, the backyard is not completely divided between the two houses. There is a 6 feet tall fence that goes between the two houses and extends partially across the back yard to the walkway. I installed the fence so that we could not see the guests on their patio if we happened to also be outside on our back patio and vice versa. As a reminder, if we have guests, we will not be hanging out on our back patio because we want to give our guests as much privacy as possible. The large grassy area in the back yard is technically open to both houses, but I assure you that my wife and I will not be hanging out in that area either. That is 100% for our guests to use. To ensure more privacy, I installed the patio between the two houses. That way, if we look out our back window or if we walk out on our back patio, we can’t see the guests. I also positioned the patio between the two houses because both the and our primary residence are 2 story houses. Thus, you basically have a two-story wall on each side of the patio/hot tub providing a significant amount of privacy. To note, we had one guest leave a negative review about the accuracy of the property because the north side of our house has windows that are on the same side as the hot tub and patio That one guests review seemed to insinuate that my wife and I could look out at our guests. However, I promise you, we keep the blinds and curtains that face the patio shut, 100% of the time, all of the time. Additionally, I can assure you that in no, way, shape, or form are my wife and I looking out those windows when we have guests. We would never violate our guest’s privacy like that and I can assure you from the bottom of my heart that my wife and I do not want to see what our guests may or may not being doing out there. For additional privacy, there is also a 6-foot-tall fence that goes between the front of the two houses blocking the patio and hot tub from the street view. In addition, I added another 6-foot-tall corner nook fence that partially wraps around one corner of the hot tub. Half of that fence wall is between the hot tub and my house, and the other half is between the hot tub and the street. In addition to privacy, that corner nook fence also has a shelf to set your cell phones or drinks on and it has three hanging hooks on it to hang your towels or clothes. Surrounding the patio and hot tub there are some bushes, trees, and foliage, which provide some additional privacy (Obviously, not as much in the winter though, given the leaves fall off.) In addition to all that, we also have a 6-foot fence that surrounds the entirety of the two properties. So, if you are a guest at our and are hanging out on the patio or are in the hot tub on the patio, I assure you, that for a downtown Sanders beach location you have a significant amount of privacy, and that area is 100% yours if you choose to stay at our . If you have any additional questions about the patio/backyard area, please feel free to contact me.

PETS & OUR BUNNIES

Please note that we have a STRICT NO PET POLICY! No dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, snakes, etc. Any type of animal. It’s not that we don’t like pets and animals. We actually love them! However, we have to be firm on this policy for a number of reasons. The top three reasons being: 1) We have family members who have allergies, 2) We have guests who choose to stay with us who also have allergies, and 3) We have roughly 5 bunnies that visit the property every day. Most days, they will be in the back yard at some point, but you will also see them in the front yard as well. We really love the bunnies and we want them to continue to feel safe and happy on our property :-) If you want to, feel free to feed the bunnies carrots or other veggies. Just make to search to Google what foods they can't have, if throwing anything on the yard aside from carrots. Some foods they can’t have at all, some foods will make them sick if they eat too much, and other foods they won’t eat, which will either attract other unwanted animals or it will just leave a mess on the yard that will need to be picked up later. We throw carrots out in the yard daily, but they are certainly happy to eat more. Just please don't chase them or be too aggressive. They are very nice and comfortable with humans. Sometimes I will throw some carrots out on the yard and sit on the grass and they will hop and lounge around with me. You are welcome to do the same. Just let the come to you and all will be good :-) Also, we do get deer from time to time in the yard. There is a family of them living in the vacant lot across the street. Please be respectful an nice to them as well. Any guest caught bringing a pet/animal to the property will be required to pay an additional $250 professional pet cleaning fee, at a minimum. If there is any additional damage to the house or property that was caused by an unauthorized pet or animal brought by a guest, there will be additional charges on top of the $250 professional pet cleaning fee. We thank you for your understanding on this matter!

IRON MAN

It should be noted that the cottage is right next to the Centennial Trail. The home is on the corner of South 14th Street and Mullan Ave. Watch as the Iron Man runners pass by on Mullan Ave on the Centennial Trail. If you are a participant, even better. Can't beat the location and being able to enjoy the brand new jetted hot tub after a long run!

Full access to the patio, which can be accessed either through the front gate on the fence to right of the front door of the AirBNB or the patio can be accessed by exiting the home through the backdoor in the kitchen, then walking out on to the back driveway through the gate on the fence to the right.
