"While traveling with our 15 year old son we stayed the weekend in this lovely cottage on the property of Victor an Carina just south of Edinburgh. The hosts are showed wonderful hospitality and the cottage is comfortably set up to sleep three (or four). Great attention to details of all we needed for a comfortable stay including notes for outings in the area and for getting to Edinburgh by bus or train. We definitely want to return to this beautiful cottage with wonderful hosts."

"We had a last minute change of plans and I needed to find suitable accommodation for my family of 4. I came across the 'Garden House' in my initial search and compared 5 other similar solutions. None measured up and that was only based on the images. The pictures undersold the property, utterly. The Garden House became a serendipitous highlight of our trip to Edinburgh. The location, setting, layout, preparation, standards, provisions were are excellent. The setting within Oxenford Castle...

"We loved everything about our stay at Townhead from the glorious views to the cozy and thoughtfully planned house. Communication with the manager and the housekeeping staff before and during the stay was prompt and kind. The welcome drinks and food meant we didn’t have to run into Peebles when we first arrived. We unpacked and would have happily stayed much (much!) longer than a week. It’s a wonderful area to walk and explore but really, you’ll want to stay home and read or write or draw....

"Beautiful property with great location walking distance to Gullane facilities including golf courses, beach walks, restaurants, coffee shop and supermarkets. House was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view onto village green and the kitchen area was spacious too. All in all highly recommend."

"We loved the location (we were aware of the parking potentially being problematic, but parked outside house all stay) and being on a hill didn’t cause us any problems. It was worth it for the view alone! The property has retained its charm whilst having all mod cons and everything we needed. The host was so accessible, but we didn’t need anything. The train ride into Edinburgh was easy, even with the dog."

"This property is a jewel in the beautiful countryside of Scotland. The Annex is a very clean, very comfortable vacation place. We considered canceling all other plans for the remainder of our vacation to stay here. Spacious eat-in kitchen, sunroom, large bedrooms, large bathroom, make for an amazing stay here. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed to cook breakfast and dinner and celebrate a birthday:) The grounds, the garden and beautiful views can definitely brighten your day....

"We really enjoyed our stay at Chesnut Cottage ! Very cosy, warm, welcoming little house ! Thank you for welcoming us and our dog ! The Arniston Estate is lovely, very calm. A nice place for walks. Very dark at night, we had the chance to see plenty of stars when the sky was clear enough. The fireplace with everything needed and the bathtube were the cherry on top ! Easy to access from Edinburgh airport. The train station of Gorebridge is also a big plus. 25min by train and you're in the town...

"An excellent property to rent outside of Edinburgh. Perfect for dogs and families. The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back."
