Stay at RE Artu

Ginestra is a spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. The grounds and swimming pool are really good and there are views to Assisi (which you can walk to (35-40 minutes). The Property Management team are all very helpful and the food the prepare is very good as well as the local restaurants. On the negative side, we did not have very much outside space and our table and sitting area were part of a shared area where other guests had breakfast or dinner so was not very private. The other one was that the internal hobs for cooking were not working properly so it meant self catering was not easy.

The property was on the pilgrim trail to Assisi. The bells from the basilica of St Francis echoed across the valley in the evening, an experience I'll never forget. We saw hoopoes and swallowtail butterflies. The home cooked suppers were a real treat – three courses! Absolutely delicious. There were others staying in separate apartments. This caused a few issues for us as the group above us were night owls and did a lot of late night drinking and chair scraping. Nothing some ear plugs couldn't fix.

Vacation in Assisi as family

We enjoyed our stay at the estate a few kilometres from Assisi very much. The apartment was well equipped and had a lot of space. The site has a great view, is quiet and relaxing. Unfortunately for our kids the pool was closed in October, understandable because the temperature dropped below 20 °C. We had a great week and we will come back, that`s for sure. Thanks for your hospitality.
