"There was a problem with our booking. We booked and paid on 31st December and after a 5 hour drive to the hotel with a baby and a dog didn't want to hear that I hadn't booked and that there were no rooms available. Luckily there was a no-show and we were given a twin room. Also, the booking was found on the computer. The staff, especially the South African lady on reception, were very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is superb. Overlooking a beach and a 10 minute walk to the centre...

"Really nicely presented hotel in a great location. 5 mins from train station and five mins from the town. Rooms on the smallish side, however the balcony helps as a place to relax. Very friendly and courteous staff so we recommend a stay if you are in the area."

"Lovely Easter break! The 'Owl' room was ideal for the four of us, as has bunks for the kids & a fabulous super-king bed. Superb Breakfasts & Sunday roast served by hosts Dave, Jackie & their team. 5 min drive from St Ives, didn't cause us an issue. This is quite a remote spot so would need a car as not much within walking distance. Excellent base for touring the extreme 'Pointy end' "

"This lovely hotel is well positioned for a stay in St Ives. It’s out of the town which makes parking and travelling around very easy. You can catch a bus or taxi to the centre easily. The restaurant could be improved - if you had a great chef in the hotel - this place would be awesome. At the moment it’s pretty hard to get cooked toast with your poached eggs at breakfast. The staff too are pretty changeable some are fantastic - others one guy in particular, tired and in need of a holiday...

"This is one of the best places I've stayed in the world. The apartment is immaculate, pristine and beautifully decorated and furnished. The owners even made scones for us plus cream and jam. There are 0 flaws in this place - so much time, thought and effort has gone into this apartment and it made a beautiful trip into an outstanding one. If I never stay here again it'll be because I've either died or gone barmy."
