"The Spread Eagle is a traditional pub with a small number of bedrooms in the Southern suburbs of Manchester. My room had a comfortable single bed, with a private bathroom across a (fire exit) corridor. My only problem was that I almost got trapped in the bathroom, as the door lock was badly fitted. There's onsite parking at the rear. It doesn't serve breakfast, but there are plenty of options nearly, even on a Sunday, including a Costa, a Caffe Nero and a Wetherspoons. Access from the city...

On my second night I discovered there is accommodation in the attic with bare floor boards- I had a rather noisy person above me!
