"This was a perfect room for me as a solo traveller. The room had a very comfortable single bed, tiny but perfect bathroom and just enough space for me to open my cabin bag. The room felt a bit luxurious, very nice linen and a pretty window onto the street. It was quiet and I highly reit for one person. The village is super nice, pubs and cafes and lots of vintage stores."

Our only negative comment is that we had booked a classic king size room - the bed was 5ft/150cm - a Uk queen size not king. "The air conditioner was not working in our room. A portable one was set up with the exhaust hose stuck out of the open window. As much money as I paid for the room I should have been moved to a different one. Because we were exposed to the night air and exhaust, both my daughter and myself got sick. Also, we ordered room service which after an hour was not delivered. I called to check and the online order system wasn’t working and never received it. We eventually got food brought to our room....

"Beautiful hotel, excellent location with its own entrance to Victoria station. Staff were all top notch. Muhammed was a standout. Very helpful and friendly, and recognized us from when we stayed two weeks prior. Went out of his way. This was true of all the staff from help with luggage, check in, restaurants/bars and housekeeping. All very professional but also personable. Looking forward to our return."
