"I visited Steveston because my husband lived in Richmond during his school years and spent many evenings in The Buck and Ear with his friends during the 1970's. My husband passed away two years ago this past Tuesday and my plan was to have a drink at The Buck and Ear that evening with him, but found it was closed. I still had an enjoyable evening staying in this historic hotel and will certainly return. The location cannot be beat. A block from the freshest seafood on the planet."

"First off didn't know we will be in a house with owner and family:( amenities didn't include TV or laundry with extra cost that was unexpected. Lots of noise which the lack of TV didn't help. Not a restful hotel stay as expected and we certainly could have paid less at a hotel with more amenities. The room was sufficient with bed and thank God it wasn't shared! The ad wasn't clear and we didn't know what to expect until it was too late."

The location was perfect very close to the Night Market and many restaurants, which made it really convenient for our trip. However, the hotel itself seemed poorly managed. The desk had visible dust, the towels had dirty stains or possibly makeup stains, and some of the cleaning amenities were out during our one-day stay.
