"A truly unique and quirky hotel that is full of surprises and each bedroom is themed, even down to the books! Staff were very friendly and helpful and it's well placed for easy transport into both the city and Docklands. We had an issue with smells in our first bedroom so they moved us. The bed was large and comfortable and the air con was efficient, cooling the room down quickly. The place was very clean and my only comment is that it could do a little bit of TLC in places; our shower door...

"We specifically requested a room with ac due to a child’s health concerns. The room we were given did not have ac. When we complained, we were told that part of the hotel had abruptly lost ac but it would be repaired the next day. We were offered a fan that we had to re-request several times. Fan was worthless and also had a 30 min auto-shutoff feature. We requested a room or hotel switch for ac and were denied. The top bunk is enclosed in plexiglass which concentrated heat. We got zero sleep....
