"Stay away. I know it’s not supposed to be a 5 star hotel, it’s an older motel - BUT, the room was filthy. Dead bugs, stains on the chairs, floor, pillow cases. Ac unit had mold on the cover. Cannot blame the manager on-site, he’s a young kid with only so much he can do. If it wasn’t the fact that we drive 2 hours and it was a holiday weekend we would have walked out after being in the room for 30 seconds"

"Definitely a "place to sleep" hotel. Will say the rooms were clean. The TV wasn't working, the lamp on the night stand didn't work either. The bed was surprisingly comfy and clean. Feels like a very bang for your buck hotel if you were to spend a single night at the beach. Location is perfect to everything. Staff was welcoming and friendly."

"This is okay if you need a last minute place to stay for a night. Room was clean but had a weird smell. Bed was uncomfortable for my man (side sleeper)but I slept well. 30 minutes from BelMawr and Point Pleasant Beaches. The owner was very helpful and attentive to our needs once we arrived. Parking for truckers and a grill area with seating. Great location with stores to grab things you may need. Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree and much more. We would stay again if we NEEDED to. "My family and I love staying here! The rooms are always clean. The staff and their kids are very kind and friendly. The distance from room to the boardwalk/beach is about a 3min walk with kids..super close..the pool was clean and fun for days we didnt go to beach. High recommend…"

"As soon as we got to our floor, the second floor, we were hit with the smell of cigarette smoke despite it being a non-smoking floor (maybe even hotel?). Throughout the night we kept getting whiffs of cigarettes throughout the room. The most concerning part, under the bathroom counter there were glue traps for mice and other bugs and insects which leads me to believe it’s not the cleanest, most maintained hotel. "The captains cottage was a super nice place with great staff and close to a great restaurant and bar. My wife and I enjoyed our stay!!!!"

"The room was like it hasn’t been updated since the ‘50s. The towels were stained and the soaps (2) were very, very tiny, barely enough for a shower, and no shampoo. The tub and toilet are very old. If my wife and I weren’t so tired when we checked in I would have asked for another room, but I think it wouldn’t have made a difference. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough."
