"We spent a night at the Wheatsheaf, to break the long drive from Scotland to Berkshire. Our room, although not huge, was clean, with crisp, white bed linen on a very comfy bed, and with lovely views of the pretty village church. Although warned about the frequent bell ringing, it did not disturb us in any way. Nice, white towels were provided in the shower room. "Well, what can I say? What a lovely day yet again! Staff really friendly, place lovely and clean. I was given a free upgrade to a double room even though I’ve only booked a single. This place really does look after their regular customers, which is great. I really enjoyed my stay - yet again, it was lovely to have a larger room. I wish I could get that every time I stay, but I do enjoy the single en suite rooms. They are lovely. I can see they’ve had all the rooms decorated since I last came....
