"We stayed here for two nights in February as part of a mini break to see old friends and visit the Eden Project for the first time. We arrived early intending to have lunch whilst waiting for our keys but to our delight the room was ready early. We had a light lunch in the restaurant with our friends which was of a good standard. "Great hotel , staff were friendly, rooms were clean, food was fantastic and a good little gym. Loved the vibe of the place in line with being an old prison. The in-house spooky tour in the basement was ok , but make what you want of it, probably not the best value for money but still fun/ interesting. "

"Staff made you feel very welcome and our dog too. The dog gift in the room. Her bed and bowls. The beautiful inn and shops. Breakfast was soo good and a sausage for our little dog. The evening meal was good value for money. Nice food menu. Not over fancy Well done we will be back "

"An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months"
