Lakeview Fishing Cabin

Wonderful cozy, rustic wood cabin, we call the Lakeview Fishing Cabin that sits on a beautiful location overlooking the lake and mountains at the Preserve in Johnson's Creek. The Preserve is located on the southwest side of Lookout Mountain in Rising Fawn, GA. We are just 35 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, but located in the mountains in a quiet retreat!

This wonderful cabin is at Lookout Mountain in a 2800 acres Preserve! Renting the cabin gives you access to multiple fishing lakes that back up to Johnson Lake. There are miles of hiking possibilities and creeks to explore. We are 35 minutes from downtown Chattanooga, the Tennessee Aquarium, Rock City and Ruby Falls. We are 15 minutes from the famous Canyon Grill restaurant and Cloud land Canyon State Park and many more outdoor activities! We are 20 minutes from Mentone. We are a hour away from the Sequatchie River in Dunlap, GA where you can canoe in the river. There is also a fun drive-in theatre in Trenton, GA just 15 minutes away!

The cabin affords beautiful mountain and lake views at the Preserve. The cozy, 700 sq ft, two level cabin has just what you need for a romantic getaway or a trip away with the kids. The back porch sits directly on the lake and is a prefect place for relaxing with mountains views and beautiful sunrises and sunsets!

This cozy cabin sleeps up to 4 people. On the main level, there is a stocked kitchen, comfy couch and living space, bar stool seating, TV with Dish Satellite and a full bathroom with a shower. At the top of the hickory lined stairs, you will find a loft with 2 twin beds and a private bedroom with a double bed.

This cabin is surrounded by beautiful trees and mountains and sits directly on the lake.

Fishing is allowed on your lake right off your back porch and with another lake within the Preserve. Just bring your own fishing supplies. There is also on site horse trail riding! I can give you the contact information!

Super relaxing and cozy place to stay! Easy 40 minute commute to Lookout Mountain and Chattanooga, and 20 minutes to Trenton for good Bbq and coffee. Will recommend to friends!

Perfect stay for 2A and 2C

The cabin shown on Vrbo is accurate. It really was perfect for 2 adults and 2 children. Lots of kitchenware, utensils, plates, cups, spices. It was especially fun being able to fish off the dock, swim in the lake and kayak, all was fun for all. The cabin was clean, some outside work on deck would be nice. My family would absolutely stay again.

Best peaceful get away ever!

We loved our stay. It was close to everything that we enjoy doing. Fishing, hiking, shopping, sight seeing. It was so quite and peaceful. We drove over to Hixson Tenn. To eat for our anniversary at Texas Road House. The shopping center behind it has a store ( Gabe s) it is a must!!!!

Quick getaway

I’ll start with the positives. The location is very pretty you feel like you are away from everything. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck watching the birds, we seen a turtle in the water, turkeys running around the property. Very relaxing. The cabin had WiFi and Roku so you can use your streaming accounts. The kitchen is stocked with spices and cookware. The negatives the bathroom lighting is bad. A light above the mirror would help. The mattress in the bedroom upstairs was very very uncomfortable. I have never slept on such a hard mattress. A new mattress would’ve made this stay a five star.

Overall good

Lovely place! Enjoyed the deck and Wi-Fi.We were charged an extra 50 fee with no explanation as to why. The platform said there was a message but it never opened. I would really like to know the exact reason for the charge because we’ve never had a problem leaving a place messy.

Perfect little place!

Overall, my kids and I enjoyed our stay here. I would definitely recommend it if you want a small, quiet, quaint cabin to stay in. It was a perfect size for the 4 of us. Lots of wildlife to enjoy! The drive in was a little bumpy with lots of pot holes. Just go slow and pay attention. The only thing I would recommend is getting a more comfortable couch which reclines.

Lake stay

Had a great time hiking cloudland Canyon and Desoto State Parks. Husband caught 4 fish at the cabin so he was elated! Ate at Canyon Grill and it was absolutely amazing. Had everything we needed and bed were comfy!

Honestly everything was perfect. We enjoyed the quietness and being outdoors. My husband was fishing “but throwing the fish back in the water” I did a little reading and honestly enjoyed time alone with my husband. The place was clean and I loved the aroma when we walked in. Easy to use BBQ grill and we enjoyed our meals outside on the picnic table. If you need phone service; connect to the wifi. Communication with the host was perfect and we will definitely be back again. Oh look out for the wild turkeys. They are so beautiful. We saw them on our last night around dawn. Perfect pictures.
