"When you first pull up to the Whitman you might think, "uh-oh" because the exterior and the reception lobby leave a lot to be desired BUT don't let that fool you, this is an excellent and fairly inexpensive motel/hotel for 1 or 2 nights. "Great hotel Unfortunately, like everything in New York, they charge an arm and a leg for valet overnight. They don’t really have a breakfast option inside the hotel and Limited snack, snacks, and food. The surrounding area could be cleaner. But if you’re in Queens would not be a bad choice"

"It looked like they had once gone for an Art Nuvo look but it was in horrible disrepair. The floors in the room were dirty, not just a little dirty but with visible crap that had been neither swept or vaccumed. The bedspread had worn holes in it and the shower had large amounts of mold. There was a sign by the front desk showing they rent by the hour. I suspect the main clientele are hookers and drug addicts. I say that without the least bit of sarcasm."

"Surprisingly lovely overnight stay. Loved the look of the bathroom, especially the shower. The entire experience from checking in to the breakfast in the morning was delightful."

"The room was very clean and well-presented. A little smaller then I thought it would be but great nonetheless. The walls are thin so be mindful of that. The front desk and serving staff were very helpful. It was nice to be able to grab a full breakfast every morning. Location gets a 10/10 for me. Close to subway, restaurants and lots of shops. Very easy to get around. I would definitely stay here again."

"A very dangerous place."

"First got put in the wrong room and asked to move. Next room someone from another room entered out room on accident using the code given to them. I asked the front desk to change our code and they were very defensive that anyone could enter our room. Walls are paper thin and up most of the night from hearing people talking. Walls were dirty and sheets had a big stain."

"I will see that every time we go home to NY we stay at the The Floral Park Motor Lodge. It was a peaceful stay"
