"Although somewhat dated, the property was good and had all the necessary facilities. It was a shame that the kitchen was dirty and needed a good clean. Otherwise the property would have been great. However the Supervisor was very apologetic and upgraded us to better and cleaner accommodation at no extra cost. We were very grateful and in turn had an awesome stay! "

"We enjoyed our stay! VERY convenient location, great staff. Stylish accommodation with nice lounge/bar. The room we got was in the "quiet" back part of the hotel and it was indeed quiet. The bed was very comfy. However the room was incredibly tiny--we couldn't fully open the door to the room because it hit the bed. A very thin amount of space on either side of the bed. But it was inexpensive, clean, comfy and well-situated. Overall had a good stay and would recommend. "

"Fantastic stay with my family. Staff were a standout, reception team very friendly. My daughter is afraid of elevators and the kind lady helped me unlock the stairs outside (unfortunately it was raining and staff member did get wet) so that I could walk our girl up to our room. Great location, room very clean, tidy and warm which was a must as we had a 8 week old baby with us. Only feedback was our room was a little outdated which didnt affect us too much, but no PowerPoint next to one of the...

"Very good hotel in the city, very conveniently located just off the highway and without the need to get stuck in traffic. I arrived on a Sunday so I got to try the special Sunday Roast dining menu as well, very well portioned and nice restaurant setup. I also booked for the valet parking so it was really piece of cake checking in."

"I really enjoyed my stay. The Bucket Tree is very iconic, with colonial style architecture, lovely park-like surroundings and that giant bucket-shaped tree in front. I arrived in the middle of a heavy rainstorm, so really appreciated the warm and cosy room. I had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful kitchenette and bathroom. Everything was lovely and clean and the service was great. I stayed for two nights and my room was cleaned each day. Would definitely stay here again....

"Great modern spacious accommodation. Stayed in a king studio unit with city view. Bed and linen excellent and great to have kitchenette facilities too to self cater. Only negative was that the TV was not in sight of the bed so was not able to relax after a long day in bed watching TV. Also there was only 1 chair (no couch) to sit on so hubby had to sit on one of the dining chairs. Other than that service and stay was excellent Great location central to main eating hub of Wellington."

"The museum hotel was so beautiful! Every section a work of art. The ambiance and food were fabulous. My only issue was that my double room had two twin beds pushed together, which ended up actually being more firm and comfy than the other bedroom with a normal bed, which was too soft. Great service and friendly staff. The indoor pool and sauna were also a real treat. Would return!"
