"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Sovestro. The location was perfect for exploring San Gimignano and we took advantage of the ability to walk into the city every day. We also enjoyed the wonderful restaurant, pool area and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay here again and highly recommend coming. "

"Hotel is right in the center of Gimignano. The staff were nice and able to check in early at 12:30pm. The room is large, clean, and quiet. The shower flow is very good but the tub is leaking a lot. Nearest parking lot is 600 meters away in P2 - parking lot is open and cost 15 euros per day. No in and out privilege. I would love to come back and stay here again."

"The building doesn’t look like it has had any money spent on it since the 1980’s.Very shabby hotel, shame on the owners, it could be fab. Had holes in sheets and towels. No duvet it’s a 1950’s style blanket between sheets. Not hygienic these days. Dirt and dust everywhere. Cushions with stains on. One pillow each. Dining chairs in the breakfast room all broken. I think it used to be a convent until they didn’t need as many rooms Run by nuns Like everywhere in Italy no screens on windows and there was always one mosquito in the room regardless of how many I killed. "Very clean, modern hotel near the airport. Elevator easily handled two people and large suitcases. Room was lively with coffee and tea. Heat and AC controls in room. I stayed one day and night. Dropped off suitcases early and took a cab back to Florence. Neighborhood was ok enough but not where you would spend a day. Several walkable restaurants but they dont open till 7 or 730 for dinner. Settled on Tito's. Delicious. "

"Absolutely loved our stay here. Very safe walk to downtown Florence, approx 25 min walk along the river. They also offer free shuttle service which is nice. Great spa with included access to indoor heated pool, sauna, and steam room. Highly recommend."

"This hotel wasn’t at all as described. The amenities listed on the Expedia page don’t exist. The only food on site is for the breakfast restaurant, which stays locked the rest of the day. Both the Expedia summary and the hotel brochure at the hotel mention a garden with a bar (neither exist), the page mentions room service (also doesn’t exist). It’s in a great location to get to the airport (about 5 minute drive) but outside of being great for the airport, there’s no real restaurants close to...

"We stayed at Il Malaspina for 6 days this April and everything about the hotel was perfect! We got there early on check in day and they held our luggage while we went out to lunch. When we returned not only was our room ready, but our luggage was already in the room waiting for us. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily and left it immaculate.
