"When I turned on to the drive I was struck by the stunning tudor style building and grounds. I received a warm welcome from the friendly staff when I checked in, and clear directions on how to get to my room. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom was clean. "Room in itself was clean and tidy and to the basic standards expected for a budget hotel but the shower curtain in the bathroom was horrific, covered in stains and mould. Even for a budget hotel this isn't acceptable. "Liked the garden, but it needs a little C&A... Disabled car parking near to our room (No.5) was an excellent bonus. Breakfast was excellent but a bit expensive. Staff were all very courtious and helpful. Direct booking rather than via an agency is preferred.
