"My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights, we included breakfast with our stay and it was well worth it. The breakfast buffet was displayed beautifully every morning with little omelettes, an assortment of breads, pastries, deli meats and cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, yogurt and cereals. They had many freshly squeezed juices, flavored water, drip coffee or served espresso directly from their bar. The service of the staff was excellent, they were friendly and helpful. We loved our corner...

"The room was always clean. The personnel were very helpful. The bathroom had a strange configuration with the toilet down the hall from the sink and shower. And there were no towel racks and not much storage space for our clothes. That is the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5. Otherwise it was a very nice room with air conditioning during a horrible heat wave. It was nice to have restaurants on the property. And it was near the tube and train station."

"Very comfy beds & pillows , nice bar & reception staff , Nice pool sauna steam good, not luxurious enough to be called a spa. Our room had a power failure when we awoke 2nd morning, no air con & v warm day, we had to use the bathroom in the dark & couldn’t shower , when we rang reception there was no answer ,we reported as we checked out but only received an apology & still charged the full rate?"

"Had a great stay here for one night. The reception staff were lovely and checked me in hours before check in time and upgraded my room for free! The room was huge and had all the amenities including an iron/ironing board which is rare. It’s 5 mins from the underground too so really convenient location! Would stay here again!"

"The AC system was not working in our first room and we had to downgrade to get a smaller room that had AC. Heat wave in London did not help. Interesting that front desk person was located in a sister hotel across the street, so had to wait for them to come over to check in and then check out."

"Plausible time travel decor - ambience conjures late 18th, early 19th c origin of building (in fact very eclectic but why quibble). Room comfortable and nothing lacking. Was provided with french press coffee maker for coffee service in mornings, nice touch. Plumbing also a whiff of days long gone: claw-foot tub with brass handles and regulator."

"Able to check-in an hour early, no fuss and very quick. Room on the 5th Floor was amazing, lovely coffee machine, Bluetooth speaker and air con which was very welcome. Bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Will definitely be going back as location was ideal."

The only advise I would give staff is that when people check in to just inform them of how the lifts work (as you need to use your room card key to work them) and how to switch the air con on in the room (took us an hour to suss out we had to press a button on the top of the panel to turn it on). Other than this it was a lovely stay over and it was very comfortable! Thank you "

"Good sized rooms comfortable and a bonus the hot tub! Only downside they have extended the hot tub use to midnight from the previous 10.30pm cut off so I didn’t appreciate the room above me in the hot tub until 11.30pm it was noisy. Good quiet location."
