"Stayed this past weekend for 4 nights. There is NO AC. The lobby was great, they didn’t alert us there was no AC therefore the rooms felt humid and +85 degrees all day all night. They flat out omitted this simple detail. I asked them they said it was the heat wave. Yet the lobby was cool. The next morning I asked housekeeping they confirmed it’s been like that for a while. "Clean, decent room, amazing to have AC. The AC did make a racket sometimes, and rooms pressurized from it so doors would suck shut or bang in their frames. Just a noise warning to other travellers. Well worth the AC."

The only advise I would give staff is that when people check in to just inform them of how the lifts work (as you need to use your room card key to work them) and how to switch the air con on in the room (took us an hour to suss out we had to press a button on the top of the panel to turn it on). "What a weird a** place this is. This hotel does a great job straddling the line of being friendly and unhelpful. They act like they are nice but really they just want to be mean. The hotel itself is well appointed but the presentation is a bit pretentious. It's trying to be fancy but really it's just weird. It is not family friendly. We tried to have a coffee one day in the cafe but there was no server. Then we ran into some trouble with kids pool time as the TV stated the window was 9-noon...

"The AC system was not working in our first room and we had to downgrade to get a smaller room that had AC. Heat wave in London did not help. Interesting that front desk person was located in a sister hotel across the street, so had to wait for them to come over to check in and then check out."
