I guess they came back, and were locked out and they were trying to wake up their partner. But they didn't. They woke up our entire family. I messaged the apartment host but never received any kind of response (even the following day)."

"We cannot fault the apartment - it had all we needed. However, the manager, Esperanza was absolutely rude, disrespectful and really doesn't care about her clients. We had a problem with getting into the apartment late at night & while we were told we could contact her at any time (and to be fair, a manager should be available) she would have let us sit all night outside our apartment before even trying to help. She put the phone down when we tried to call & then told us to solve it ourselves as...
