"The room was very dainted could do with a reverb in the bedrooms stayed on the hottest weekend in June and all we had was a old small fan in the room Bathroom could do with a very deep clean. Pub itself was nice. Stuff behind the bar were very friendly. Landlord was grumpy and chose to see it with both their big air-condition fans facing himself."

"I have stayed here several times now. On arrival had a long wait to be checked in. Nobody was on reception. When they finally turned up there was no apology for the wait. Room as expected but I thought this time it was looking very tired. Badly chipped paintwork. Dirty marks on carpet. A stone from a fruit from previous guest on floor. "The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. "Really lovely place. Very quiet and peaceful. A bit off the beaten track but still only half an hour away from Bristol. Really comfortable bed, and I had the best nights sleep I’ve had in ages. I wouldn’t say this if it wasn’t true! Only one minor point is that the shower head was a bit too low for me, as I’m around 6’ tall."

"We had a 2 night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. Faultless service from the staff in all areas and particularly the restaurant. Spa area and all 3 pools are spotless, just enough loungers, more than enough towels and shade - and on a hot day a beautiful place to chill out after exploring Bath. Bar lounge menus and main restaurant menu are good value, food is excellent."
