"Staff were so friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. Room was lovely with good air con. Complimentary breakfast was great and got a table straight away. In the afternoon the seating area by reception was a little dirty still from breakfast. Was able to store luggage easily and conveniently located to the sights and train station. Highly recommend"

"Was good breakfast, very low range of meals at night, room was very odd, floor was very uneven in bedroom and the bathroom was not level. Door of room had a big gap that showed how uneven the floor was."

"My room wasn’t ready when I arrived and had to wait until 4:15pm for my room with a child and health issues after lengthy traveling. Not enough trowels in the room. Air conditioner in the room broken. Reception Toilets messy with no toilet paper in them. Breakfast a massive disappointment. They are basically trying to save money on everything and it make it unpleasant for the paying customer."

"The staff are lovely, and the property and gardens are beautiful (although they’re not quite as new or updated as the photos make it seem). It’s more of a charming quiet calm hotel in the countryside. My only issue was that the carpet had tons of large stains on it, which was rather gross and I’d expect a hotel to have a vacuum cleaner that can take stains out of the carpet. "I've stayed at the hotel multiple times and never had a problem until Wednesday 15th July. The building is obviously old so limited to what they can do, but second floors rooms in peak summer are like pizza ovens. The small ancient fan is not enough and I barely slept."

"The room was comfortable, large, and clean. It has air conditioning which was essential for us as there was a heat wave. Large bathroom. Outlets at bedside. Nice amenities. "In my booking confirmation via Expedia the price for parking was confirmed to be 30 GBP per night, which is already quite expensive. However upon arrival the price was 50 GBP per night, which is just useless. Other hotels are able to honor the price confirmed at the time of the booking for existing bookings also when the car park is managed through an external company. "We have just had two glorious nights with the fantastic bird . From the minute we got there the staff were attentive and friendly , must give a mention to a few .. Tony , Laura , Tom , Nic , Adrian and valentina . The breakfasts are second to non, we ate on the Saturday night out on the beautiful garden terrace , burgers were great and the two desserts lemon and honeycombs Sunday and the dark chocolate macaroon was exceptional. Everywhere was clean and welcoming with the most amazing decor ....
