"Stayed in one of the VIP rooms. However, wasn't one with the jacuzzi which seemed a little misleading based on the description. Arrived at the spa for them to have no record of us and waited for them to sort it out which considering the paying for club access is kind of a mood killer. That said the spa is nice and the treatment was fantastic. One of the upstairs shower rooms has mould on the wall which again isn't acceptable. However the venue is lovely. "Really clean bathroom, spotless not a pubic hair in sight! Really appreciated the cleanliness. Bed comfortable, made beautifully and clean sheets. Sofa bed was made up for arrival as requested. Breakfast had everything you needed and was in the price so that’s a bonus. Parking not a problem at all and free! Great location - we were heading to Southampton Port. Would definitely book again."

"Everything about the room and the hotel was lovely, only downside was the wall of the rooms are so thin so you can hear people talking etc in their rooms, other than that one issue everything about the hotel is good. Lots of parking which is good too."

"No water when we arrived on the Saturday evening was a bit of a pain. Room was disappointing lots of work needs doing, repairs, decoration. (Not what you would call a Luxury upgrade) The staff seemed to panic a little, should have offered us another room or at least somewhere to freshen up."

"Free parking was an asset to the property, While I appreciate the property was very old, the room was dusty in places and furniture dated and not able to open drawers as they were stuck . Rug on floor was dangerous as an edge was permanently curled up causing a trip hazard. "It could have been a beautiful, spacious room with fantastic views but was a tired period room in desperate need of some love and investment. The period room was very tired, an unusable chair with a broken seat pad, stained but grand head board although spotless linen, torn curtains, peeling paint and wallpaper and lamps with no shade or no working light bulb. The staff were very welcoming and friendly helpful despite difficulties locating reception to check in."

"I had. A room with a broken window no curtains just a blind which did not block out traffic noise or did the single window glaze . No room had a shower in room ,or toilet ,the shower was just 1m x1m floor space with no space for hanging clothes . I would not stay there again ."
