"Communication with the host was challenging, as he messaged us in Italian despite knowing we didn’t speak the language. We tried using a translator app, but it was difficult to understand instructions. He expected to meet us in front of the apartment, which was hard to locate using the directions provided—they led us to a narrow, one-way alley.The host saw us but continued to give directions only in Italian. "An odd place in the best way. Nestled in the countryside you’d be forgiven to expect someone’s house, but instead there is a proper concierge desk and a wonderful restaurant building. Don’t overlook the restaurant! I had the best octopus I’ve ever eaten and a truly decadent tiramisu. The room itself was large, and decorated in a rustic but modern style, with tile flooring and natural surfaces throughout."
