"Disappointing stay at this hotel. The staff were a little unwelcoming and the service was not great. A beautiful location but this was let down by terrible parking, poor facilities and attention to detail that wasn’t there!!!! The spa was poor with an outlook to a wall!! The room was also disappointing with hair on my pillow and uncomfortable cheap pillows. I was very much looking forward to this stay but was very disappointed."

"A great hotel with an amazing view right on the South Sands beach . Quite a distance from Salcombe if you are walking and the roads around the area are very narrow ( single track) and steep. We used the ferry to get to Salcombe although it only runs until late afternoon and costs £5.50 each way . The food was good and quite reasonably priced. The decor at the hotel was a little tired . Lots of dogs were in residence and were made very welcome. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Overall...

"We only stayed one night but we can honestly say the Hotel was above our expectations the staff were friendly and welcoming our room was spacious clean and beautifully decorated and quiet. The breakfast was freshly cooked that we pre ordered last night and delicious much better the the buffet style.There was plenty of choice of cereals fresh fruit salad yoghurts and a hot drinks machine. "There is a golf course on site which means the golfers enter the building at times which creates mess on the floor apart from that room breakfast and evening meal were lovely."

En ese sentido muy decepcionada; optas por un hotel por unas características que al final no corresponden con la realidad. Es entonces cuando la calidad/precio no están equilibradas."

"The staff were excellent, very obliging and helpful. The corner room 207 did not have a decent balcony only room for two small chairs. The other rooms were a decent size and the balcony was room enough for two chairs and a table.The area had single track roads and with a fair amount of traffic it took some time to get from A to B. The scenery was lovely from the hotel and the sandy beach was just over the road."

"3-Bettzimmer mit französischem Doppelbett und Einzelbett, sehr leckeres Frühstück, sehr gutes Internet, Boden und Wände sind total schief, sodass der Tisch sehr schräg steht, Parkplatz kostet 10£ - wir hatten Glück, dass wir spontan den letzten Platz bekommen haben, weil wir nicht reserviert hatten"

"Overall the property was very clean and everything was brand new. Great location and close walk to every where. Only down fall was the kitchen didn't have as many pots and pans if you wanted to cook a family meal. The iron was not working but we got a replacement the next day. The ceiling in the bedroom upstairs was quite low and became quite warm. The property does not have air con except for a fan in the living room. We took an additional fan with us which helped. I would recommend this...

"After a full day of walking what a treat the Station House was! Beautifully decorated room, comfortable bed, lots of hot water, the use of the common room, a informative book about the property and local suggestions as well as a cafe of delicious food."
