"I noticed the hotel is still using the older tech Mifare Classic 1K hotel guest room RFID cards which provide less security than more modern Mifare Ultralight C guest room RFID cards used by some of the other hotels in the Halifax Convention Center proximity. Not a show stopper if you are prudent with the security of your guest room card. k. "

"The good: Restructured entryway with beautiful large wooden doors with brass fittings & rings. Opulent main lobby, beautiful dark woodwork, museum like. Beautiful in its day but like a neglected child it’s telling and felt dingy & very dark. (ie a beautiful ceiling light fixture with shades crooked and tattered with a few burned out bulbs)Restaurant/bar on site. Beautiful 4 post king bed, comfortable, very high (I needed to use my suitcase as a step up to get in it but no big deal) Free 24/7...

"As soon as I entered the main doors my jaw dropped as I was NOT expecting the hotel to be under renovation(s). Had I known, I would had booked elsewhere. We stayed in room 605. Just above the pool area. The room had a very heavy smell of chlorine to which I got a headache. Upon entering the room there was dust in areas and the fridge was dirty. The toilet seat was stained and there was urine spots under the seat. The elevators were very dirty with stains on the walls and ceilings. I...
