Enjoy your stay in the comfort of our recently renovated large basement suite. Centrally located on the north shore and close to everything - shopping, restaurants, beaches, outdoor hiking and walking trails, ski hills, and quick access to downtown.

Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully furnished and fully outfitted basement suite.
Both beds are King sized plus there is a queen sized pull out sofa. 55” TV with cable and Internet provided and full-sized laundry in separate room

Pros1.Very nicely furnished and renovated. The owner tried to install quality in all parts of the unit.2.Very nicely landscaped yard3.Quiet HVAC4.very nice and quiet neighborhood and street5.all appliances work very well including the washer and dryer6.kitchen was well-equipped with a working icemaker7.bedrooms were fairly dark and good-sized8.very responsive and nice owner 9.West Vancouver location, close to Capilano suspension bridge, Grouse Mountain, Stanley Park. Lots of restaurants and shops 10 minutes away in Ambleside10.very nice Capilano River Regional Park just that the bottom of the street. The Capilano River is just a short walk from the street11.basement location was not a problem, darkened the roomsCons1.tenant is unable to control the HVAC. All temperature adjustments are done by the owner from a remote location. The owner was very responsive so this was not much of a problem.2.Bathrooms were fairly far from the bedrooms3.steps leading down were somewhat hard to navigate especially for elderly4.noise could be heard from the occupants upstairs but never late at night or early in the morning.

What a pleasant stay! It was our first visit to Vancouver, and we were traveling with our two children (7 and 11 years old) as well as my parents. The two large separate bedrooms and two bathrooms greatly contributed to our comfort and organization as a group of six. The accommodation is very clean and spacious. It is located in a beautiful, green, safe, and peaceful neighborhood, just a few minutes' drive from Stanley Park. Several services and shops are nearby, and highway access is quick. It was a pleasure to communicate with and meet our hosts. The welcome was impeccable. Thank you!

Incredible value, Gorgeous property!

Shane was amazing with communication and the place was absolutely stunning! The neighborhood includes a nearby walking trail. The VRBo unit is extremely well maintained, with many high end touches. When we arrived super early, Shane was exceptionally accommodating, offering us early check in and great tips on where to go to get a bite to eat.

Worth the stay

This place is immaculate and spacious, with many useful amenities and a lovely welcome basket. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a well-situated accommodation in West Van. It was perfect for our group of 5 adults. The hosts are lovely.

Awesome home base!

Gladys and Roys place was awesome! Huge clean basement suite with everything you need for a comfortable stay with family. Shane was great to communicate with and very quick to reply. Amazing back yard with a play area for the kids was a huge bonus for us. This is an excellent location in ambleside with quick access to downtown. We will definitely be staying here again.

Pre cruise stay

All four of us were well pleased with location of property and the property itself. The hosts' parents being there also helped because they gave us some pointers on what to do on our extra day before we boarded the ship. Did not like that I could not get to respond to my hosts email when we got to Vancouver through no fault of his just all I had was my cell phone and could not go throught the verifying process in time to get back to leave him a message. All in all, a very good experience.

Our New Vancouver Home Base

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this property! The house was in a great, quiet, and clean location just minutes away from several amazing restaurants and fun outdoor activities. The house had all the amenities we needed for our stay—in addition to the unexpected welcome goodie basket! Our group of four also really appreciated that we could each enjoy hot showers every day, thanks to the continuous hot water system. The mattresses and pillows could have been a little more comfortable, but otherwise we were able to relax and have a great time. Thank you so much to the property owners and manager for making this home available and comfortable. We definitely hope to make it back someday!

OMG. I can't say enough nice things about our stay. The place was HUGE and comfortable and quiet and just all around amazing. This was by far the best value for the money spent I have EVER received from any stay anywhere. There was literally nothing that could have made our stay any better, it was already top-notch. Everything we needed and wanted was there.

It was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. Quiet neighborhood in the suburbs within easy and short driving distance to many wonderful sights. We especially enjoyed the amenities basket and the friendliness of our host! We highly recommend this home.
