"Beautiful house in excellent condition in a nice quiet area. Everything you need is provided in the house. The phone in the house did not seem to work to call the reception though. The nearest Tofukuji Station is only a few minutes’ walk away with two convenience stores on the way. Love to return in the future; cannot recommend more!! "

"This was by far our favourite accommodation in Japan. The manager was amazing and the accommodation was spacious, traditional but will all of the modern facilities. We loved it and wished we had spent more time here. In fact, once we moved to Osaka, we travelled back twice to spend time in this area and a little town called Sanjo. "

"I love the Monday aprt chain! This was the second one on our Japan trip. Love the amenities. Love the service of the staff. Absolutely helpful with receiving and holding our bags, as well as the linked service for sending our bags forward. And the washing machine in the room was a huge selling point for traveling with our family. Very close to the metro station and konbinis very close as well to this location "

"We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. The bed in the second bedroom is on the floor, which isn't a bad thing considering this is an authentic experience,...

"This is a very nice hotel very close to train and bus stations, 4 min walking, love the space compared to Japan hotels, they offer complimentary drink fountains and longe area, really good and affordable, highly recommend "

"Really nice stay at the Hyatt Regency for 5 nights. Staff were lovely - spacious room. Nice little touches like the Geisha dancer performance. Museum, temple and beautiful gardens/shrines on your doorstep. Short walk to Shichigo station to get up into Gion."

"Very new and neat hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, the hot pool was very nice and clean. the staff were friendly and helpful. The only drawback was that the breakfast buffet was limited and not the best food, could def be improved. "

"Das Gebäude und das Zimmer sind sehr schön und liebevoll landestypisch eingerichtet. Einziger Nachteil ist hierbei allerdings, dass alles sehr hellhörig ist. Wir hatten Zimmer 101 im Erdgeschoss direkt neben der Haustür, wo man jedes Kommen und Gehen der anderen Gäste sehr deutlich gehört hat. Abgesehen davon aber eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft in guter Lage. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn einen die Hellhörigkeit nicht stört, ist es definitiv eine sehr...

"It was interesting staying in a Japanese house. Really enjoyed that. However the location was not practical sunce we had to taxi to Gion. I was unable to enjoy the beautiful bath since the water was only lukewarm and I tried many times and yes, I pressed the water red button as instructed"
