"Staff was great, but rooms felt very different from photos. A bit grungy, but safe and good. Felt more like a hostel. Which on the plus side means a kitchen open for personal use. A few room towels had stains on them, looked like paint?"

"Conveniently located in the middle of Hillcrest. Parked in the neighborhood for free but you're taking a risk so read the signs! Room is SUPER small so be prepared to use the countertops for luggage space."

"This spot was well kept inside. The only down part was that after the clubs/bars were closing you heard a lot of noises when the employees were cleaning up. The nice things is that they had earplugs on the nightstand if anyone needed them."

"The bed was raised, and I could not get into it. The tub is very deep, and it was difficult to step over the side. There were no tissues, so I used toilet paper. Trains/trolleys ran right outside the window late at night."

"This is probably the nicest place in which I have stayed in my thirty or so years of traveling to San Diego. And Rico was a superb host.
But I didn’t have to ask him for much, as he provided an abundance of sundries and drinks.
