"This was the 2nd time that we stayed here and while there were parts of the hotel that were great, there are still some rough spots (just like the last time). Check-in went well and easily got into our room when I started noticing some things: the in-room safe was jammed, attempting to talk to the front desk was thwarted due to the fact that the phone had no connecting cord. "Everything was great and the stay and food"

"Voco in Astoria is a great place to stay. It’s less than a year old and the rooms are soundproof. Across from me was the subway track and I could barely hear it. It was probably one of of best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel room. The restaurant serves dinner and breakfast. The food and atmosphere was amazing as well as the excellent Customer Service by the entire staff throughout the hotel. It’s a short walking distance to a subway entrance. I will definitely be returning there."

Premade sealed breakfast sandwiches you heat in the microwave and bagels that seemed like they were from a grocery store when the hotel could (should)source delicious pastries and bagels from the many fine local bakeries and bagel shops in their neighborhood, keeping with their upscale vibe.
