Room was cleaned every day. The staff tried to get you what you need. Some of the property needs TLC, there was water in different areas when it rained as there were leaks. Overall this was a great property for the price, great beds, pool and beach were easily accessible from our room.

There was big changes. Still great, BUT, bigger isnt always better.

This was second visit in 6 years. I was sent to the Palace Delux because the hotel i wanted to stay at, (from the first trip) was closing down. So the Palace Delux is new. Although i ended up staying further down on the beach then in the major, huge area, so i still had a quiet resting spot,,, the Main area of the Delux was like being at any mall on the globe. Not an island get away but still very, very nice. That being said, I love everything about the place. The beach, the pools, the hotel, the grounds, the weather, and even though some people have a bad day, or someone is not at there best at work,,, I even loved the staff. The hotel staff, the landscapers, the cleaning crew, the resteraunteers. Every one. Except, individual sad encounters. The only bad thing. Is,,, the resteraunts took a little dive from the first visit. The Mexican rest. went way down. Was looking forward to eating there but the new style was a disapointment. The Italiano, not what i expected but o.k.. The steak house,,, Way to go, great food and excellent staff. Oh and one more resteraunt that has to be mentioned.... There is, still, for the time being (about 3-6 months from mid may 2011) a small but great, great, authentic Domican resteraunt on the beach called "Dominicana" or something of the sort. If you go to this resort and dont go to this resteraunt,,, you are truely missing out on the best eatery in the entire resort. I recomend the goat, domica styl. SUPURB!

Stayed here for one night until we could check into our week reservation. We were sorry we didn't stay here the whole week. Very friendly staff, lots to do and loads of fun for the 20-30 crowd. Close to other hotels in punta cana and other nightclubs so the cab fare wasn't crazy. Definitely would recommend to young people.

Not impressed

The Junior Suites Deluxe seemed to have been the only nice rooms at this resort. The food is all-you-can-eat style, but is not very good quality and many of the people in my group got food poisoning at one point during the trip.

Worse Stay of My Life.

The rooms were filthy. The rooms contained bugs, roaches and mosquitoes. We refused cleaning service in order to limit the number of mosquitoes that the cleaning person allowed into the room. We killed two roaches. The hotel and Expedia staff were indifferent to our complaints. The all-inclusive was confusing. The first two days were extremely frustrating. Information was lacking and misleading. We finally managed to eat at the sport bar. The place was packed with angry families dealing with the same issues. Absolutely horrible experience!!

Tudo Perfeito

tivemos um pequeno susto assim que chegamos ao Hotel Barcelo Casino pois o segurança do local informou que o hotel estava passando por uma reforma, então fomos levados para o hotel Bavaro Palace. demorou uns 15 minutos para que o recepcionista do Hotel conseguisse encontrar uma informação sobre a nossa reserva, ele procurou, ligou, entrou e saiu de uma sala uma 3 vezes, eu estava com o papel impresso da confirmação aqui do site, mesmo assim demorou para que ele consiguisse localizar a reserva, até que um tempo depois disse que estava tudo ok e nos direcionou para o quarto. O quarto está precisando de alguns reparos, porém, nada que seja absurdo, muito limpo, todos os dias as toalhas de banho são trocadas pela manhã e o quartos são sempre arrumados e higienizados. Gostei muito do quarto tinha uma King size confortável, tinha uns 6 travesseiros. Uma sacada pequena, mais agradável, com uma mesinha e 2 cadeiras. Gostei Muito do Hotel, ficamos no Palace no bloco 5, muito silencioso e tranquilo. O melhor do Barcelo Bávaro é que você pode desfrutar de todos os locais dos 5 hoteis ( poré 2 estavam em reforma) mesmo com as reformas tem uma variedade imensa de coisas pra fazer. O Palace fica perto da Praia e tem 4 restaurantes nele que estão no all incusive, mais um Frances que não está no all inclusive ( você paga U$ 30,00 por um almoço ou jantar com direto a 3 refeições(entrada, principal e sobremesa)). Você ainda pode comer no La brisa que fica ente o Palace e o Palace Deluxe, num total encontrei 5 restaurantes incluídos no all inclusive ( italiano, dominicano, Staek House(churrasco(ÓTIMO)) E 2 Buffet's no esquema de self service). A Piscina é satisfatória, mais a do Palace Deluxe é muito melhor. tem os trenzinhos que te levam para os outros hoteis ou para os shows ou para o casino. fui muito bem tratado, os Dominicanos que me serviram pareciam estar sempre de bom humor, falo pouco espanhol, mesmo assim se esforçavam para entender. Enfim, muito Boa estadia, foi tudo perfeito e muito satisfatório. Recomendo a Todos!!

Awesome Upgrade

When we arrived to the Casino lobby, we were informed that we had been upgraded to the family deluxe suite in another one of the hotels in the resort. The room was amazing. The service was a bit slow, especially check in and check out but other than that the food was great, the beach was beautiful and a wonderful time is to be expected. Another bad thing, besides the slow service, was that many of the hotel employees did not speak much of any language besides Spanish.

Always Great!!!

This is the 4th time we have stayed at this complex of hotels and it is always a grat stay. Beware, though, they are doingconstruction in the middle of the development which if you stay at the casino hotel or the family hotel, you will have to take a small tram ride to the beach. Otherwise, everything was great, friendly people, great booze and very nice and clean beaches. I would tell anyone who wants to go on a cheap, very nice and relaxing vacation to go to this resort.

I want to go back again and again

The hotel was nice. It doesn't have access to the beach but the train was always closer to arrive to the beach. The night show was TERRIFIC!! it a must to see. The buffet bar and the restaurant were excellent. Excellent breakfast, lunch dinner and beverages. The employess was nice and gentle.

Bavaro Barcelo Punta Cana Construction

We expected to have access to 8 restaurants as in past years. However this year on ly access to the buffet at the casino for breakfast, and the buffet and the La Fuente restaurant for supper. The garden hotel of the complex is demolished and the former beach hotel has no lobby or restaurants due to construction. This is not mentioned in the brochures. The new back nine of the golf course is very nice. The condition of the casino hotel is the same as the past. Bring bug spray and after bite I got eaten by noseeums. Still have the bites after two weeks. They do fumigate daily this helps a bit but not for me
