Good hotel just not the best location

Very Disappointing — Definitely Not a Four-Star Hotel When I booked this hotel through Expedia, it was highly recommended and showed a 96% recommendation rate. Unfortunately, my experience was far below what I expected. One of the biggest problems was the way the hotel was advertised on Expedia. There were two separate booking options: one said “Room Only” and another said “Including Breakfast.” The “Room Only” option did not clearly state that breakfast was NOT included. I chose that option because I thought it was simply another rate for the same room. The main reason I chose this hotel was because of the excellent reviews I had read about the breakfast. When we checked in, the staff told me that breakfast was not included. I initially thought this was a mistake. They explained that I had selected “Room Only.” I told them that this terminology was misleading and that it should clearly say “Breakfast Not Included.” I even asked, “What does ‘Room Only’ mean — that there is no furniture in the room?” I felt genuinely cheated and insulted by the way this was presented. My wife did not want to move to another hotel, although I was ready to leave and find somewhere else. What made the situation even more frustrating was that two days before we checked out, the hotel offered us free breakfast.
