"Fantastic location and very clean. The staff were very welcoming, efficient and helpful. The location is brilliant. Very easy to explore the whole of Dorset and opposite a train station, (Moreton) if you want to use the train. There’s also a bus stop opposite. We were close to the Tank Museum, Clouds Hill and the village of Moreton has a beautiful church with stunning windows, and it’s where TE Lawrence had his funeral and he is buried close by- you can visit his grave. "The village is delightful and has a fascinating history well worth the visit. The hotel is full of character but is in need of a good deal of work if it is going to cater for tourists otherwise it will fall into disrepair and not be worth considering. Carpets need replacing, rooms need a thorough cleaning, woodwork, like doors and windows, are in need of attention & holes in the walls should be addressed. "Great spot to stay in, convenient for the city. We loved the breakfast, a true highlight. My kids were very comfortable in the second bed and the shower was a great size. Unfortunately it was during a heatwave and with south facing windows I don’t think the temperature in the room dropped below 30c! The chap at breakfast said there is a plan to put in AC. The huge fan provided took the edge off."

"A fabulous pub / hotel! The staff were super friendly but very professional. The room we had was exceptional - a family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds (one of which housed our adult daughter without any problem). The new interior decorations were gorgeous - Pooky lights, artwork on the walls and corridors etc. Breakfast was magnificent (full vegetarian) and the bar in the evening was great with good choice of drinks and background music at the right level. "Pleasant stay. Rooms look a bit dated, no plug sockets next to bed. Room wasn't hoovered before arrival. Plumbing need looking into (slow drainage and toilet flush not great) Staff were helpful. Breakfast was buffet, so unable to choose from normal breakfast menu."
