"Absolutely fantastic few days at Kellah Farm. Our second visit here and will definitely be returning. The cottage is perfect and Lesley, Katie and Tom are so welcoming and friendly. My Granddaughters had an amazing time helping with the lambing and looking after the sheep and lambs."

"Outstanding, if bijou, place to stay. By no means 5 star, but at this price point you would be daft to expect it. What you get is a very small room with a clean and comfortable bed and a shower with plenty of hot water at excellent pressure! And the owners couldn’t be nicer! It was a nice taste of real, northern hospitality."

"Short walk from railway station, beside a pedestrian bridge over the river. No noise in the night, very comfortable and warm, excellent breakfast."

"There was a problem with the shower it was stone cold. Robin deducted some money from my bill as a good will gester. Before we checked out a plumber was there to fix the fault for the next guest . These things happen and it hasn't put me off staying again . Food was fab room was clean and service was excellent. Definitely recommend. And will stay again."

"A lovely and tasteful conversion of an old school house by the current owners Chris and Lisa who made us welcome on first arrival! Entering through a gorgeous large porch into the wonderfully large yet cosy hall furnished with comfortable chesterfield and fireside chairs and kept toasty via a large attractive log burner! Lisa our host was attentive but not intrusive and made us feel comfortable and every wish catered for through out our 2 day visit including the delicious full English Lisa...

"Our stay at the Westgate Manor was one of the best hotel experiences we have had. Hosts, Stuart and Kathryn give a very high standard of personal service to us and made our short stay memorable. The Manor offers fantastic accommodation and a truly wonderful experience with young dear in the garden in the early morning and three peacocks roaming around! We will be back. Thank you."

"Cannot rate the Bridge House highly enough. The B&B is a stone's throw from the (best bit of) wall and 20 steps from a great little pub to watch the sun set. The room, bed, and shower were all perfect and the breakfast was the best I had all trip. What's more, the hosts clearly don't think twice about going above and beyond for their guests, making sure that I had ice for a nagging injury from the trail despite my late arrival. Just a rare level of hospitality. "
