"This historic inn was clean and not too fancy. The location is great for exploring Thame. It’s also part of the Midsomer Murders” tour which was fun. Breakfast - made to order- was excellent and plentiful. We’d stay here again. "

"Our second stay at this property. Chose it for its location as we were taking our granddaughters into London by train. Train station a ross the road with frequent direct trains to London. Free parking at the hotel a bonus. A nice pub nearby and a nice walk along the canal. Rooms clean and sufficient. Staff friendly. "

"Check in staff very helpful. Bathroom not as clean as it should be for a property like this, shower head covered in brown gunk, dirt under rim of toilet and glasses covered in dust. The shower nearly flooded as soon as I turned it on. The kettle was bashed and going rusty. Overall fine for a night but if staying more than one day there is no where to hang towels to dry. The breakfast was sufficient but confusing as there was no one to explain or check me off a list!! "

"Charming but in need of updating. Peaceful area and a nice hour's stroll (or less) into the attached Manor Park and its lovely pinetum. It was very muddy and boggy in the park in February, wellies are a must! Our room (12) was classed as a 'superior' but I don't think that was warranted. "We only had a quick overnight stay for the hospital the next day. The place looked amazing — it was smart and tidy. The staff were extremely friendly, no messing about. The room was perfect for what we needed. The only complaint was that there were no plugs by the bedside table. But overall, we were really happy with our stay and would recommend it"
