"The initial room we were given had an odd odour in it. The staff tried their best to eliminate it but when unsuccessful, they moved us to another room without any hassle. However the 2nd room had a couple minor annoyances. First, the shower dripped constantly even though we shut the water off completely. Second, the tub drain was incredibly slow. After a 10 minute shower, there would be an inch of water in the tub."

"Wheelchair accessible room we stayed in had two queen beds but the one bed was too close to the window to fit my 24” wide wheelchair. Then the two beds were set so close together that again, my wheelchair couldn’t fit between.
So I could only choose on side of one bed. Why not add a single bed so the wheelchair user can access any side of the bed. Would also provide more general floor space."

"I visited Steveston because my husband lived in Richmond during his school years and spent many evenings in The Buck and Ear with his friends during the 1970's. My husband passed away two years ago this past Tuesday and my plan was to have a drink at The Buck and Ear that evening with him, but found it was closed. I still had an enjoyable evening staying in this historic hotel and will certainly return. The location cannot be beat. A block from the freshest seafood on the planet."

"The MET hotel has a bar underneath and by the train station. If you want convenient location this is the place, however the second floor rooms can hear and feel the music downstairs. It was karaoke night Friday, and the singing was not pleasing when you want to sleep and relax on your own. The hotel location has a lot of drunk people or perhaps under the influence. It’s a bit scary to roam around. I checked in late around 8 pm, I requested to be moved in upper level floors and when it wasn’t...

"I booked 3 balcony rooms. Only 1 had a true balcony. The other 2 rooms had a balcony sized window with a concrete ledge approximately 1 foot wide. You couldn't even go out onto it. I would NOT consider this a balcony and should not have been charged extra for these rooms. Other than that the rooms were clean, well provisioned and the beds were comfortable. Don't waste your money paying for a balcony room."

"Nicely located hotel at the English Bay. The room/suite was spacious enough for our party of five. However, it was a bit run down, with the appliances and installations in need of some maintenance. Moreover, there was a lot of noise from the street and the windows were paper thin. I guess the price is fair for central Vancouver, but still, with a bit more care and overhaul the place would definitely be more welcoming."

"The hotel check-in was under construction. The area ch was blocked off with plywood. There were a few tables and chairs in the small area to be used for breakfast but also for those checking in and out.
We weren’t told about this and were not compensated for the inconvenience. I would have changed hotels if I had c known ahead of time. My husband is legally blind and I am limited in mobility.
There is no crosswalk near the hotel to give access to restaurants or stores across the street."

"The hotel has made some renovations which apparently has caused some problems with water supply. Meant shower stopped working mid shower. The management were apologetic, and took some off the bill ( to give them credit ) but, with a dirty pool and whirlpool not working not what you would expect from a premium priced hotel. Food was good and generous portions but slow to arrive. Happy hour was 3-6pm which was also good."
