"While the location is nice the parking is 10 minute walk up a steep hill. Even dropping off luggage is a challenge as it’s right at a very crowded tiny car park. Sadly Expedia sold us the Penthouse room (photos were of it) at a 50 pound discount yet when we got there we got a room with a small window mostly iverlooking the roof and kitchen smoke stack and just a tiny bit of the water. Not happy! Manager said Expedia does that and they have no control. He did take half off dinner but we would...

"A lovely hotel nestled under the Dorset Ridgeway path and only a 40 minute walk from the coastal path. Pretty setting, with lovely garden and good restaurant. We had breakfast next door at the farmshop which is a linked business and offers a 20% discount to the hotel residents."

"Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. "Room was spacious, great shower. However the room we were in (an upgraded room) was over the kitchen and every morning at 7am something started up and all we could hear was the hum of it which is annoying when you would like a lie in. We ate both nights in the pub. The food is good but very pricey. On our 2nd night we both had a special which was gammon, 1egg, chips, pinapple and piccalily.
