"The Okra Inn was a great festival house for our group 7. Some of us ran up and down the stairs (all of the bedrooms were upstairs) and some of us climbed the stairs slowly . . . Every morning we gathered around the roomy island/bar to have fun cooking breakfast and COFFEE TOGETHER. These original NOLA houses have some stories to tell and the Okra Inn was intriguing in that way. It was colorful, clean, and comfortable, especially the rocking chairs on the front porch. You have to walk-thru one of the bedrooms to us the toilet or kitchen, which can create some potential uncomfortable situations depending on who you travel with. Also, a lot of street dwellers hangout on the front steps at all hours, which could be a little concerning for some."

"What a beautiful home this is. We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment on the ground floor but the owner allowed us to have a look at all the other rooms which were beautiful. Our apartment was very spacious with all amenities for self catering including washer and dryer. The bed was very comfortable and lounge area also good. Constance the owner was really nice and made a great breakfast for us. Definitely recommend this place to stay. A bus can be caught right across the road to take you down to...

"I’ve never stayed in such an old house so I wasn’t expecting the toilets to be so sensitive and the water pressure to be pretty non existent. The shower water went off a few times while we were showering. But I’d recommend replacing the shower curtains. They weren’t that clean. The house was nice and the garden area was pretty. Loved having an off street parking spot. The house worked great for our friends and family!"

"Pros: Lugar muy amplio y céntrico, departamento muy equipado, a 20 min de bourbon st. Contras: si son mas de dos personas, el agua caliente no es suficiente, por si te quieres dar un buen baño.. será con agua helada. Indican que se puede pedir un check out extendido pero no te da opcion la liga. Asi que la salida es si o si a las 11 am. Ni pagando extra, adicional que los ventiladores de techo y la luz se prenden continuamente sin control, en la madrugada te pueden sacar un buen susto."
