SUMMARY
Mountain Bay Villa is a beautiful Villa recently refurbished to the highest standards, situated in the Mirabello Bay, 6km east of the popular town of Agios Nikolas, and with spectacular views of the Thripti Mountain Range. The Villa is set in a rural area of Olive trees and provides a peaceful and tranquil stay.
Lovely local tavernas and blue flag sandy beaches are all a 5-10 minute drive away.

Fabulous mountain walks from Kavousi is a 20 min drive from the Villa.

THE SPACE
The Villa has a large open plan living area with modern fully equipped kitchen, dining area and living area with large patio doors to the back and side of the property providing picturesque views of the sea and mountains and forests.
Patio doors lead to a large sun terrace with outside dining area, gas BBQ, sunbathing area and a private pool. There is also a utility room with washing machine and drying area. There is a large roof terrace with patio set and a covered area ideal for enjoying the beautiful views and relaxing.
There is plenty to do and see in this part of Crete with many beautiful blue flag beaches just a short drive from the Villa. You can sample Cretan Cuisine at many of the local tavernas, enjoy water sports facilities, ancient sites, mountain villages and beautiful walks. The lively cosmopolitan town of Agios Nikolaos is just a 10 minute drive away and provides yet more restaurants and bars and a lively night life. There are plenty of supermarkets within a 10 minute drive for keeping stocked up.
The popular seaside town of Istron is just a few minutes drive in the car with lots of tavernas and the beautiful Voulissima Beach (Golden Beach) as is the popular sandy beach of Ammoudara.
Just 20 minutes away is the mountain village of Kritsa , considered one of the prettiest villages in Crete, with beautiful streets and shops, restaurants and tavernas, and the nearby ancient Dorian settlement of Lato. For the more adventurous, there is a beautiful drive from this Village to the Plateau of Katharo and for the even more adventurous one can drive from there to the Plateau of Lassithi.
Access to beautiful mountain walks in the Thripti mountains is a 20 minute drive to the village of Kavousi and a short walk leads to the worlds oldest Olive tree at 3250 years old which has national monument status.
The popular bay of Elounda is a must see 20 minute drive with spectacular views over Mirabello Bay. Arriving at Elounda you will find a picturesque bay with lots of sea front restaurants and shops. This bay used to be the refuelling stop for sea planes on route from Britain to India due to its calm sheltered flat waters. A short drive further on leads you to the village of Plaka where you can catch a ferry across to the historic Venetian Fortress of Spinalonga Island that featured in the book 'The Island'.
The Villa is situated at the narrowest part of Crete with the Sea of Crete to the north and a short 30 minute drive to the south of Crete, passing a couple of ancient Minoan sites to the port of Ierapetra on the Libyan Sea where you can catch a ferry to the beautiful Chrissi Island, which is well worth a trip.

Tolle Villa !

Die Villa ist sehr schön, die Bilder entsprechen der Realität. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut, alles ist mehr als ausreichend vorhanden (Küchengeräte, Gläser, Handtücher,Strandlaken…) Die Villa ist zudem sehr sauber und der Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt. Der Außenbereich ist geräumig und liebevoll gestaltet. Um in der Region flexibel verschiedene Strände/ Städte zu besuchen ist unserer Meinung nach ein Auto notwendig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten zu jeder Zeit eine Ansprechpartner*in für unsere Fragen. Wir würden diese Villa erneut für einen Urlaub wählen.

Exceptionnel

Nous avons adoré Villa Carolina, tout est fait pour que vous y sentiez bien. La maison est spacieuse, extrêmement propre et très agréable. Elle possède tout le confort, la cuisine est parfaitement équipée, il y a tout le nécessaire pour démarrer votre séjour (café, sucre, huile d’olive), et en plus à notre arrivée des fruits frais et de l’eau. La terrasse offre une très belle vue et la petite piscine permet de se rafraîchir à souhait. De plus, la communication avec Carol est excellente, elle est extrêmement réactive et arrangeante, elle nous a permis d’arriver plus tôt et de partir plus tard, ce qui a beaucoup facilité notre organisation. Alex, la personne qui nous à accueilli est très disponible aussi. Pour résumer, nous ne pouvons que vous conseiller cette superbe maison pour passer de superbes vacances.

Stunning property with beautiful views

Everything about this property makes for a perfect holiday. The location of the villa is peaceful with amazing views across mountains and sea, on a hot day you get a lovely gentle breeze. We spent lots of time on the large terrace which has dining area, lounge area, sunbeds and pool and bbq. It was perfect for our family and felt very private surrounded by olive trees. The property was very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything you could need, all pristine. Beds were comfy and plenty of storage for clothes. The two bathrooms were spotless. Due to the heat the air conditioning was much appreciated. Beaches in the area have crystal clear water and within a short drive there was a choice of beaches and restaurants. The owners clearly care and love their holiday home and this shows in very aspect of renting this property. We would return in a heartbeat.
