"The Buckingham Hotel was a great place to rest on my way up to Wales. I was greeted by very friendly staff at reception and parking was easy. My room had a microwave oven, mini fridge and kettle. 👍 Bathroom was especially good and clean. 👍 It’s a good local stay for High Wickham. "

"This is how hotels should be. It was absolutely esquisite. The finishings on the building was amazing and consistent throughout and was echoed by the quality at every angle, from the welcome, to food, to service, you name it. Wonderful relaxed atmosphere and a lovely place to be. We stayed during a very quiet period out of holidaty season and were still made to feel very welcome, were always asked how we were, and were very aware that any member of staff would go above and beyond to help...

"It's the second time we've stayed in this hotel and, generally, it fits the bill. The one niggle is the climate control in the room. Because it's the summer, the air con won't the air flow to be heated. Being rather cold blooded, we need some warmth. The receptionist Song did everything she could to resolve this and appeared with two electric heaters which really helped. The breakfast was very good. "A very pleasant place to stay. Our room was quite small, perhaps unsurprisingly for a venue in town, but clean and well appointed, with a separate toilet (and sink) and bathroom with shower and basin. Breakfast was fresh, well prepared and generous, and the staff were very accommodating. Would happily stay again if the occasion arose."

"We really enjoyed a brief one night stay with friends. A great location in the heart of a lovely town, a good selection of ales, friendly staff who make you feel welcome, and a really enjoyable dinner. Our room was comfortable, clean and with a nice en suite bathroom, and the breakfast was really good. Would certainly return."

"We had a friendly welcome from Jane and her staff. The room was comfortable and breakfast was excellent. The pub closed early on Sunday night, so we had to go elsewhere for food, but it meant a very peaceful night. Strongly recommended!"
