"From arrival we were really impressed with this place. The lady greeting us and showing us to our room, was lovely and made us feel welcome from the outset. I’m not sure if this lady is the owner, but she was always busy and appeared to show genuine concern that guests needs were being taken care of. "I enjoyed my two night stay at The Hedgefield House Hotel. The double room with seperate en-suite was immaculate & well presented. The double bed was very comfortable & i slept well. I appreciated the scenery at The Hedgefield House Hotel along with both peace & tranquility. Finally i would certainly recommend The Hedgefield House Hotel to all & sundry. "

"We booked this as a large group and it didn't disappoint. The apartments were well laid out with ample space in the living room areas. There was great cleanliness throughout and areas stayed at a nice temperature. The accomodation was really quiet at night and the key system although awkward at first was easier than keys. "The hotel is located close to the train station and bus drop of point if arriving via ferry from Amsterdam. "Matfen Hall really is outstanding, my stay was faultless. All staff were so warm, welcoming and helpful- I was greeted upon arrival with a welcome drink and my bags were taken up to my room whilst I checked in and relaxed in the Great Hall. "The oak tree inn was a good choice for a one night stay. The drinks were nice and the breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. The room was nice and clean. Tv remote was very slow and shower wasn't great. Bed was only a double and prefer king size but was fine for stop over stay"

"This is a wonderful property right in the middle of Jesmond walking to the park. Staff are helpful and polite. Room was good size and comfortable nothing extraordinary though. Obviously this is an old house and in some cases it shows its age. Note it’s a 8-10 min drive to town so not walking to central Newcastle. There’s public transport which can take about half an hour or a bit more. But is worth the stay for its proximity to the park. "

"Another lovely stay in this fabulous pub. Our double room was spotless. Well decorated and some nice little touches inc the well stocked tea/coffee tray. Great location and views to the rear from the beer garden are spectacular. Can’t wait to return soon. Staff so friendly and welcoming too. "

"We had a lovely 3 night stay at Beamish Park Hotel, it was perfect for our visit as we wanted to visit Durham and Beamish Museum.A lovely room with a very comfortable bed,good parking outside our room.We both really enjoyed the breakfasts, which had a great choice of cereals, fruit, yogurt, full English, porridge, eggs and toast.Staff were friendly and helpful."
