"Lovely, clean, and comfortable room. The bed and mattress were of excellent quality, and I had a very good night's sleep. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was fantastic. The portions were generous, and the food was of a very high standard. We stayed in the family room and, unfortunately, there was a noticeable iron burn mark in the middle of the carpet. "Check in was ok, room had everything needed (lots of hot water, hairdryer etc.) It was pretty noisy the one night I stayed there and it wasn’t easy to sleep. Nice accommodation and a good location."

"The location is beautiful, close to some great trails if you're hiking. The pub itself is lovely as well. Food and drinks were good and affordable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating! Breakfast was great. They were a bit overwhelmed in the restaurant in the evening though - not sure if it was because there were more people than anticipated, or not enough staff, but food was very slow coming out and both nights we ate there there were errors in our order. "Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"Lovely hotel and rooms with plenty of storage space. The rooms on ground floor have a parking space right outside with access via patio doors direct from the room which makes it easy to load/unload luggage. Bar area lovely for drinks. We didn't get chance to eat dinner at the restaurant but options on the menu looked nice. Breakfast was OK. Poached eggs tasted of vinegar but edible, bacon not too good but apart from that everything was exceptional and I would recommend staying here. Staff...
