"Very close to major site seeing location including walkable distance to the stations. You can feel traditional vibe here for sure. It was very roomy, quiet and private. Our room had a private outdoor onsen and it was beautiful ~~ so relaxing with killer view of the mountain. Owner who welcomed us spoke excellent English and so friendly. We felt very welcome to the property. Love this place! "

"Stayed in a separate room with children. The room was a little old but clean and comfortable. We didn't have to worry about the noise from the children because it was a separate room. There was a private hot spring bath, which was very nice. The food was very tasty and there was more than we could eat. The staff were all very kind, friendly to the children, and the service was excellent. All in all, the hot spring resort exceeded my expectations and I would like to return. Thank you very much."

"An interesting mix of retro western with Japanese style onsen and gardens, this hotel offers rooms with huge, king size beds. We opted for the kaiseki dinner, and they were able to accommodate even though we didn’t reserve it at the time of our booking. The meal was excellent with a range of courses. We drove here, but it looks to be a 20 minute walk from the charming parts of Yufuin"

Check in and check out were a breeze and all of the staff were wonderfully welcoming. "Wonderful place to stay in Yufuin. It is a bit away from the main street so it is very quiet and peaceful. Onsens (indoors and outdoor) experience were wonderful. The owners were really kind and helpful with instructions on the city's attractions and several important locations. The station is about 10 minutes away, so easy to reach. The best experience is the morning bento, which was of the highest qualities and with the great view towards the garden. I would visit again for sure."
