"FIVE STARS! This was by far the best hotel in all of our Japan trip. The staff was excellent and super nice! The room was super spacious and the bathroom was huge - we loved the shower. They also had some snacks and water available all the time as compliments and were refilled daily. Location was also great, with Kyotos Gion District for dinning and largest Temples all within a short walk. "

"The hotel it's small but super clean and well done. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom huge. The only thing is that is on a quiet neighborhood so it's like 20 minute walk to the canal and Nishiki market but still centric enough. Also, the futon sounds like a good idea until the second night and your hips are dying...just saying. It's not as easy as you think if you are 35 or older..."

"We had an amazing 3 day stay at Art Mon Zen. From the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were exceptional and extremely attentive. Probably the best hotel stay in Japan. Overall, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day visiting all the sensational sights in Kyoto. "My experience with KABIN Minamiza/Gion was excellent. Very convenient location in Gion, easy to get to everything in the area. The facilities were great, big rooms and easy to access things like Laundry services. Check in was simple and can be done ahead of time, so you are ready to go the moment you arrive. "

"The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Overall it was very comfortable to stay. The amenities were limited, for instance, the website mentioned free water bottles, Yukata, cotton/cotton swab, razor, coffee, tea, and green tea, these were not provided when we got there, maybe things we could live without, but they shouldn’t have mentioned if they don’t provide them. "Great place to stay solo traveling. I was charged extra because my plane was delayed and didn’t make it before check-in deadline of 10pm. I wish there was some leniency if you are late half an hour due to circumstances that are beyond your control. "

"Stayed for four night, family of three. Location is great, hotel was clean, employees were helpful, rooms are compact, breakfast was great. My only suggestion is to have non-dairy milk options (soy) for breakfast and replace disposable drink cups with glass. Overall, would recommend the hotel! "
