"FIVE STARS! This was by far the best hotel in all of our Japan trip. The staff was excellent and super nice! The room was super spacious and the bathroom was huge - we loved the shower. They also had some snacks and water available all the time as compliments and were refilled daily. Location was also great, with Kyotos Gion District for dinning and largest Temples all within a short walk. "

"The hotel it's small but super clean and well done. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom huge. The only thing is that is on a quiet neighborhood so it's like 20 minute walk to the canal and Nishiki market but still centric enough. Also, the futon sounds like a good idea until the second night and your hips are dying...just saying. It's not as easy as you think if you are 35 or older..."

"We had an amazing 3 day stay at Art Mon Zen. From the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were exceptional and extremely attentive. Probably the best hotel stay in Japan. Overall, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day visiting all the sensational sights in Kyoto. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay near the main Gion district in Kyoto."

"The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Overall it was very comfortable to stay. The amenities were limited, for instance, the website mentioned free water bottles, Yukata, cotton/cotton swab, razor, coffee, tea, and green tea, these were not provided when we got there, maybe things we could live without, but they shouldn’t have mentioned if they don’t provide them. There are no staffs present so it was a bit inconvenient when we needed something or...

"My experience with KABIN Minamiza/Gion was excellent. Very convenient location in Gion, easy to get to everything in the area. The facilities were great, big rooms and easy to access things like Laundry services. Check in was simple and can be done ahead of time, so you are ready to go the moment you arrive. "

"Stayed for four night, family of three. Location is great, hotel was clean, employees were helpful, rooms are compact, breakfast was great. My only suggestion is to have non-dairy milk options (soy) for breakfast and replace disposable drink cups with glass. Overall, would recommend the hotel! "
