"Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. "Room was clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable Sash cord was broken on window and one of the lights in the bathroom needed a replacement bulb. Tv=V reception was appalling I suggested that there was a notice warning occupants that the tap into the basin should be turned on slowly to avoid a torrent of water hitting clothes"

"I visit many hotels and there are too many major hotel chains that do not maintain high levels of service. This hotel was a welcome change as the standards throughout were very high. A special mention for the staff who were so helpful, and to the very high standards of the outside areas. So pleasing to see no litter but properly maintained gardens and walkways. Well done. "

"Stayed here for 1 night for work purposes, on arrival i was greeted warmly & was checked in quickly & efficiently. The room was really nice, clean, cosy & comfortable. Had a good nights sleep due to the rooms been quiet & away from the pub itself & road. Breakfast the next morning was really nice & plenty of choice from cereal, cooked breakfast & cold meats. Would definitely stay here again should i be working around that area & would recomend this place to others."
